The weekend in summary
All day, I’ve been meaning to post something on here. I’ve just been uninspired, however. So we’ll make this quick, and maybe I’ll elaborate if I ever really feel like it.
- Friday afternoon: Happy hour with Megan and friends at Downtime in Dinkytown. Haven’t been here before, but I really liked it. You should go, if you live in MN. Happy hour is long and cheap, and their tap beer selection is sweet.
- Friday evening: Tried to get some ice skates to replace the ones that I broke. Couldn’t find any that I was happy with. Choices were new for $300, used for $200, or crappy new for $60. Didn’t buy any.
- Later Friday night: Gin with A-Bob and Kelli.
- Saturday morning: Didn’t play hockey because of the lack of skates (see two lines above). Instead, headed to Douglas to finish Braid and set a new PR on Geometry Wars.
- Saturday afternoon: Costco trip with Dave. Spend only $100 for the Super Bowl party.
- Saturday evening: Winter Carnival Torchlight Parade with Christine. There are pictures, of course.
- Sunday morning: Was going to ski with Christine, but the snow was ice. Went for a 3.5 mile walk around Como Lake instead.
- Sunday afternoon: Super Bowl. Party at Douglas. Party at Tim’s house. My team won.
